When I was six years old I prayed a prayer of salvation. Yet my life did not change as one who has been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I was a freshman in college, through the preaching of the Word, God impressed upon my heart my need to forsake and repent of my sins and to trust Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I was gloriously saved by God's grace! Although I still struggle with sin, I have seen His grace transform my life for His glory!

During his freshman year of college the Lord changed Pastor Jon’s life dramatically calling him into full time ministry. Also, during college he met his wife Sharon, and they were married in June of 2004. Jon and Sharon have six children: Seth, Joseph, Andrew, Luke, Jonathan, and Timothy.
 
Pastor Jon graduated from college with his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies in 2005. He then went on to take two years of seminary training. He joined the pastoral staff at Faith Baptist Church as the assistant pastor in the summer of 2007. In July of 2014 Pastor Jon was called by the church to become the full time Senior Pastor. By God's grace, he finished his MDiv degree in the spring of 2022.

Ministering in our current culture, Pastor Jon believes that it is the call of teaching clearly the Word of God- in preaching, in personal disciple-making, in life on life ministry- that the Holy Spirit will use to grow God's people and reach unbelievers for Himself.
